Sunday stamps: Insects

 Good day, and welcome to my blog.  It is a cool but sunny Fall day in the American Midwest.  There is not a cloud in the sky,  It's time for Sunday Stamps.

The theme this week is insects.  Not many, other than butterflies, are offered on USA stamps.  And I have shared the butterfly stamps before.  But I do have a stamp I last shared in 2013 on this blog:

A stamp from Lithuania, showing the ladybird spider.  We do not have this spider in the Americas.  I do not think it is poisonous.

Sunday Stamps: Modern Architecture

 Good day, and welcome to a brisk sunny day in the American Midwest.  It's time for Sunday Stamps.

The theme today is Modern Architecture.  I have a set of stamps I shared last year - but they really fit the theme!  When I hear Modern Architecture I think of Frank Lloyd Wright and specifically his house Falling Water.

Yes there is a stamp featuring it.

A set of four stamps.  I haven't visited any of these locations.  Falling Water I believe is a museum now and I would love to visit.

Sunday Stamps: Roads or highways

 Good Day and welcome to my postcard and stamp blog.  It is a cooler cloudy day in the American Midwest.  It's Sunday, and time for Sunday Stamps.

The theme this week is roads, and I cannot find a stamp in my collection or at the US Postal Service to fulfill this except one:

A stamp I shared back in January.  This is an image of a so-called pony car, but it is on a road!  More on these stamps at the US Postal Service website.

Sunday Stamps: Landscapes

 Good day, and welcome to my blog.  It is a warm late summer morning in the Midwest USA.

It's Sunday, and time for Sunday Stamps.

I know the US Postal Service has some newish landscape stamps - the theme for today - but their website is down right now.  So I will share a stamp I have shared before, early in my days of hosting:

A stamp of a National Park in Southern Finland, looking serene with the trees and lake.  This came on a Postcrossing stamp, back when I was doing Postcrossing.
