Sunday Stamps: Free choice

Good day and welcome.  It's Sunday and time for Sunday Stamps.  This week's theme is your choice.

I am sharing a stamp from the US Postal Service, of a corsage.  It was issued to cover the two ounce rate for first class mail.  Why two ounces?  Well, heavy letters, especially wedding invitations, with the invite, and usually with a card and stamped envelope for the invitee to say whether they are attending or not.

This is cheaper than putting two first class stamps on the envelope.  And it's a lovely image.

Sunday Stamps: Green

Hello and welcome to my blog.

It's Sunday and time for Sunday Stamps. The theme this week is Green.   I have shared these stamps before, but they are just so perfect for today.

The humble penny stamp, good for sending a postcard for many years, in the past.  Two greats of American history on these stamps, Benjamin Franklin on the left, George Washington on the right.

Sunday Stamps: Romantic

 Happy Valentine's Day!

Welcome to my contribution to Sunday Stamps.

This is this year's version of a love or Valentine's Day stamp from the USA:

Pale pink hearts in the background, larger red hearts in the center to make a larger heart.

Personally, not my favorite of the yearly Love stamps, but it will work for this week's Sunday Stamps.
