Sunday Stamps: Sky

Happy Sunday and welcome to my stamps blog.

I was away last week with travel and a wedding to attend.  It was a beautiful ceremony and a beautiful day.

This week's theme is sky.

The USPS has released stamps featuring scenes along the Mississippi River, and this is one of the stamps in that set.  There are 10 stamps in the set.  I don't have these in hand; I am using the scan from the USPS website.  Lots of sky and water in this image.

Sunday Stamps: Uniforms

Hello, and welcome to my contribution to Sunday Stamps.

This week's theme is Uniforms, which can be interpreted is several ways.  Military?  Sports teams?

I went with a stamp for the US Postal Service:

A stamp honoring Japanese American soldiers who bravely fought in the European portion of World War II.  These men were US citizens who were at first in internment camps.  Some worked as translators too.
