Sunday Stamps II 43

The theme this week for Sunday Stamps is Flowers, at See it on a Postcard.  One of my favorite themes (along with birds).  Here are two flower stamps from Jersey:

Along with a shore bird!

I received this card via Postcrossing, and I was excited to get a card from a small and (to me) obscure place.

See who else is playing along at See it on A Postcard.

Sunday Stamps # 170

Hello Everyone! Welcome to Sunday Stamps.

It's a beautiful evening here in the American Midwest and Spring is definitely here.  In fact we are moving quickly into summer.  But before that, let's share some flower stamps.

Flowers are commonly found on stamps.  These flowers are actually Winter flowers, according to the US Postal Service. This image of the group of 4 stamps is from their website. Your flowers can be from any season!

Please join me this week, and please visit other contributors.

I have a page on Facebook: "Like" me and keep up with my infrequent  stamp, postcard, and quilt posts at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Viridian61/347674418583948?ref=hl

Theme next week: Anything you wish.
Theme week after that: I'll get back to you!

Sunday Stamps #14

It's Spring and I think of flowers.

Sunflowers appear later in the summer of course, but this stamp is so bright and cheerful I wanted to share it today. It is from the Republic of China or Taiwan.  Some of us may remember this island being known as Formosa.

In the Midwest USA we have had a run of gray rainy weather.  Finally it's sunny and warm today. And this sunflower fits my improved mood.

A question to my readers, regular and irregular:  do you have any suggestions for themes for future Sunday Stamps?  I have some  in mind but would appreciate suggestions of topics I have overlooked.

Theme next week: Easter or religious, any religion.
