Welcome to a cool rainy day in the American Midwest. It's Sunday morning, and time for Sunday Stamps.
The theme today is furniture.
A stamp issued in 2008 celebrating the work of Charles and Ray Eames, a husband and wife design partnership.
According to Wikipedia:
Charles Ormond Eames, Jr. /ˈiːmz/ (1907–1978) and Bernice Alexandra "Ray" Kaiser Eames (1912–1988) were an American design married couple who made significant historical contributions to the development of modern architecture and furniture. Among their most well-known designs is the Eames Lounge Chair. They also worked in the fields of industrial and graphic design, fine art, and film. Ray Kaiser Eames and Charles Eames worked together as creative partners.
It may be art, but it looks uncomfortable to me.

I'd like to try it. Maybe it's more comfortable that it seems!
Even if it looks uncomfortable, the Eames' work stands as a landmark in modern design—where form, function, and artistic vision converge.
Looks more a statement of minimalism than a practical chair. I'd like to try it if only to find out how to sit on it:)
