Sunday Stamps: Military

 Good day, and welcome to my blog.

It is a warm but cloudy Spring day in the American Midwest.

It's time for Sunday Stamps, and the theme is Military.  How appropriate then that the US Postal Service has just put up for sale a set of stamps to be released on April 16 this year.

Calm scenes today, but not back then.  It's been 250 years since the initial confrontation at Concord, MA April 16, 1775, and the "shot heard around the world."

Not a topic I collect, but I like how they show so much of the surrounding countryside. Even the cannon has a beautiful setting!
