Sunday Stamps II "N"

Welcome Sunday Stamps readers and contributors.  I have been busy with my other blog and have shamefully neglected this one.  But I am back with a stamp for the letter N.

This is a stamp issued last year to celebrate the statehood of Nebraska.  The photo shows sandhill cranes rising from the Platte River.  Part of their migration takes them over Nebraska and their gathering here is a sight to see.
The area of this state (and nearby states)  became part of the USA as part of the Louisiana Purchase.

Makes you want to be there to enjoy that sky.

I am a keen bird watcher, so migration time is a favourite time of year for that.
