Sunday Stamps #106

Here in the Midwest, the snow we had is gone, alas. And it's warmer than usual. Isn't winter supposed to be cold??

Well it is Saturday Evening and time for me to prepare my Sunday Stamps post.  It is my first week back for the semester at the University, and I am still getting used to the schedule and the students.  It has been a bit tiring.  Anyhow, time to share stamps of our theme of this week, which is:

Cartoons and cartoon-like drawings.

I know there are Simpsons stamps, and Moomin stamps, but feel free to interpret this theme broadly.  As I certainly do below.

Older stamp of children playing, on the right, plus Beatrix of the Netherlands on the left.

Here, a stamp from Germany that I interpret as saying "for the children."  I think this one is sweet.  Why not have a fish flying in the sky?

Feel free to join me this week!  Add your link below.

Theme next week: anything you wish.

Viridian
P.S. Suggestions for further themes welcome!

Hi Viridian!
Happy New Year. I really like your flying fish stamp! :)
What about "abstract or patterns" as a potential theme some time? It might be a hard one, I am not sure. But I like a challenge! Good luck getting back into the swing of things at the start of semester. Helen.

Both your cartoon style stamps are lovely, it's a fun theme. Here in the UK we just had snow, it's good to get some proper winter cold weather.

Your snow has come to me! You may have it back any time you like. :)

I like your choice of stamps. I've seen similar coming through Postcrossing but I couldn't find them when I looked. So mine is a representation of a puppet show popular in the UK during the 1960s.

A fun set of stamps, the German one is so colourful. I'd like to head for the hills and see flying fish:-) As it is ours our covered in snow, brr.

it is too windy here at the moment for any heading to the hills. that lion looks very friendly!

for future themes, how about
Chinese New Year
military
space age
maps
and, with your stamp of Beatrix, maybe more royalty other than the Windsors

I'm in, I think, but not sure you would call them cartoons. I can't even match your flying fish
