Postcard Friendship Friday - in Cleveland

Look out ladies that water may be cold!

A group of ladies about to boating at Euclid Beach Park, Cleveland Ohio.
I'm intrigued by the boat perched on the end of the dock.  How did it get there?

Euclid Beach Park operated from 1895 to 1969 and it's an interesting history.  Euclid Beach Park Now is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the memory of Cleveland, Ohio's most famous amusement park. It was a family oriented place for many of its years of operation.  Apparently it had many amazing rides including  carousels and frightening looking roller coasters.

I'm joining Beth for Postcard Friendship Friday.

Those ladies look fun and resourceful, despite the cumbersome long skirts.

I had to check that park out on Wikipedia. It seems like it was quite an adventure with the 7 roller coasters. Those are my favorite. The owner promised patrons " visitors would "never be exposed to undesirable people." Wonder where they drew the line on who was desirable enough to enter the gates? Nice post!

that could almost be a postcard from where I live! My skirts are a little shorter though.

The ladies are quite dressed up for boating. That is a funny shot with the boat at the end of the pier. Lets hope its empty.
