Sunday Stamps: Shaped

And this is post # 600!

I am still tired from Covid.  I am still walking around my family and in stores with a double mask on.

So this will be quick.  The theme today is shaped stamps and our hostess has some great ones.  I have one that came on a postcard from Postcrossing, some time ago:

From Thailand, an unusual 7 sided shape.

Sunday Stamps - Sails

Good day and welcome to my blog - I believe this is post number 600!  (Edited to add:  actually #599.)  Yeah me!

This week's theme is sails.  I have a stamp I have shared before that is just right for this theme:

Under full sail.  Also know as Old Ironsides, she is docked at Charlestown MA and you can visit the museum.

I am glad I will be "visiting" all of you virtually today, because yesterday I tested positive for COVID.  After being so careful.  I am slightly feverish and feel like I have a cold.  I have been vaccinated and boosted so cold symptoms are to be expected and it won't get much worse.

Sunday Stamps: Postal

Good day from a warm and beautiful American Midwest.  I did not post last week as it was my daughter's College graduation!

Back again though, and time for Sunday Stamps.

I don't have any stamps of post offices, as our hostess has today, but I do have an image I swiped from a stamp dealer (sorry!) as I don't have any theme stamps in hand.

An older stamp, when postage was 8 cents, of a postal worker, selling stamps of course.  The image has an old-fashioned look to it.

Sunday Stamps: People at work

Good day and welcome to my blog.  It is a cool day in the American Midwest, cloudy as it just finished raining.  It's good for the grass and plants, which are growing well.

It's time for Sunday Stamps.  The theme is people at work.

I have no stamps for this in hand, and the USPS didn't either, so I went searching on the internet.  I believe I snagged the following scan from a seller on Etsy - sorry, anonymous stamp seller, I didn't note your name!  This is a set of stamps from the USSR (CCCP) from 1962:

I hope you can note some of the work being done here.  The stamps have some great Soviet graphics.  Farmwork, steel, chemistry...  It's International Workers Day and the Soviets would be into that!
