Sunday Stamps: Flowers

Good afternoon, and welcome to a warm day in the American Midwest.  I am a bit late today!

The theme this week for Sunday Stamps is Flowers. I have a USPS stamps to share:

This, I am told by the the USPS website, is an African Daisy, bright and cheerful.  It is part of a series of round stamps, meant for international postage, whether letters (not too heavy!) or postcards.

Have a good week this week!

Sunday Stamps: Birds

It is a cool late August day in the American Midwest, and we are getting a little much-needed rain.  I hope it continues.

It's time for Sunday Stamps, and the theme this week is Birds.  I have a stamp set I have shared before:

Some winter birds, with trees and snow.  I believe the upper left birds are kinglets, and I know the others are a cedar waxwing, nuthatches, and a cardinal.

Have a good week this week!

Sunday Stamps: Trees

Good day and welcome to my blog.

This week's theme for Sunday Stamps is trees.  I have some older stamps to share:

Some older stamps from Ukraine, shared some time ago, and here again.  And the war in Ukraine continues on.  When I was in Postcrossing I received a number of cards from Ukraine, and I hope my correspondents are okay.

The trees here are a horse chestnut on the left, and some sort of lime tree on the right, or so my readers told me, the last time I shared this stamp.

Sunday Stamps: Snow/Winter

It's the doldrums of August and summer is definitely here.  There is a predicted high of 88 F or 31 C today in my part of the American Midwest.  If it cools down at night people can handle this but in many places it is just not as cool overnight as it once was.

Our hostess has asked us to share snow or winter scenes to cool us down, and has shared some wonderful stamps.  My snow stamp is below:

Stylized snow on the rooftops.  That is getting rarer in my part of the USA.
