Postcard Friendship Friday: Jan. 21

Beth has a postcard of Martin Luther King and I wish I had something appropriate.  All I have is another is my series of Florida postcards.
From the front: S-9 - Looking east in Ringling Art Museum, Sarasota, Fla.
From the back: "INNER COURT OF RINGLING ART MUSEUM, SARASOTA, FLORIDA
Both nature and man have combined forces to make the Ringling Museum of Art one of the nation's most beautiful spots.  In the long galleries that border this lovely court, outstanding works of some of the world's most famous artists are displayed.  The 76 life size statues surmounting the building represent characters from ancient history and mythology.  An atmosphere of old Europe prevails throughout the entire visit to the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art."

So much florid prose that there is only a small amount of space in which to write a message!

The Ringling Museum is still going strong.

Thank you Beth for hosting Postcard Friendship Friday!

Remember: My new meme Sunday Stamps opens again late Saturday night. See the post below for our great time last week.

I think it's really hard to beat a linen look post card and Ringling Art Museum looks like a beautiful place. Happy PFF!

The card is beautiful, but the link to the Ringling Museum is broken. I have canceled covers in Ringling, Montana, which is named for one of the five brothers.

Viridian,

I'm not going to play this Sunday - we leave for Seattle on Monday morning, but I'll join in upon my return. I'll also be asing a couple of questions about using the buttom, but I' also assuming we'd be adding a link here. Is that right?

Thank you Mr. Cachet for pointing out the broken link - I have fixed it.
For Sunday stamps, I'll be using a linky tool just like Beth does for PFF.
I encourage you to use the button in your posts - it links back to my blog :)

That looks the perfect museum, you could factor in a art viewing break to sit in the garden.

Happy PFF to you :)
Oh I do love the look of this card.
It makes me want to step into the postcard and take a stroll around the garden. Truly a lovely place.
Thank you so much for your invitation for Sunday .
May you have a wonderful weekend !
Until next time
Happy Trails

What a cool place. I never knew it existed. Nice postcard of it! I used to love flipping through the linen postcards are the antique mall and seeing all the different places people had been. So much fun when those places are still there!

Hi Viridian,
Thanks for stopping by and telling me about the the new Sunday stamp meme. I always post something about streetcars on Sundays, but hopefully I can make it work sometimes with something that covers both streetcars and stamps! I knew you had a blog, and I don't know why I was thinking it was a variety of things, not just postcards. That being the case, I have added you to my postcard blog links and will follow this blog too. Can't get enough of postcards, especially these wonderful linen ones.
Have a great weekend.
