Sunday Stamps # 174

I am putting this post together early as I will be on a short but busy business trip this weekend.

If it's Saturday evening, it must be time for Sunday Stamps.

Our theme this week is airplanes and air transport.  My stamp to share is from China.

I like how the airplane is small, and this is a typical airport scene (granted in a tropical area with palm trees and florid vegetation.)  This came to me of course from a postcard via Postcrossing.

And speaking of Postcrossing, did you see that Willa of Postcard Perfect was featured?  And she mentioned our contributor Sheila of A Postcard a Day?  I feel as if know famous people!

Please join me with your own air transport, interpreted widely, as always.

Theme next week: Circus, clowns, or fun fairs, interpreted broadly.
Theme week after that:  Open, anything.

I read the interview and followed the link to Sheila's blog. It happened that I had commented on that post. And it was the second time today that I saw a Canadian postcard with "postage paid" on the picture side--something I hadn't seen before.

I like that Chinese stamp a lot, it has been pictured, seen from a very original angle.
Thank you for sharing!

Good morning all and Happy Sunday Stamping.

The Willa's Postcrossing interview was a treat. The stamps viewpoint looks the perfect place for a plane spotter. It looks like I may have misremembered the theme slightly by not looking at the word 'and', although there are definitely airplanes.

I'm sure that's the first time I've been called famous, and no doubt the last too. :) I had no idea Willa was referring to me in the interview because I didn't follow the link.

Because I'd focused on circuses for some reason, I had to rummage around quickly to find anything for today, but I did!

I don't think I've seen that lovely Chinese stamp before, actually I've very few air related stamps.

at first glance i could have sworn that is a Japanese stamp :)

I love the flowers and palm trees...make such a beautiful scene!

I've been described as infamous!
However congratulations to Willa and to Sheila for getting a mention.

This China stamp is ideal with a view of an airfield a plane spotter would die for.

I managed to join in again this week - Im afraid my stock of stamps is quite low but I’ll do my best when I have something appropriate.

This is stamp is really nice. I love the combination of vegetation and the airport. You need to pay attention to see that it's an airport!

By the way, I also was in the Postcrossing Spotlight some time ago. I didn't know I was "famous" :P
