Sunday Stamps: Flags

Good Day, and welcome to my blog.  It is snowing briskly under a gray sky in the American Midwest, and the roads are slippery.  Time to stay inside and post to Sunday Stamps.

I am sharing a stamp from a postcard I received from Postcrossing, some years ago now.  But this country is back in the news:

(I have shared this several times.)  I like that this Postcrosser included the surrounding printed material, so that you can really see the waving flag.

And, a standard flag stamp from the USA:

This scan is from the US Postal Service.

Visit SeeitonaPostcard for more entries.

I have a page on Facebook: keep up with my infrequent quilt and stamp posts at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Viridian61/347674418583948?ref=hl

PS.  I dislike the current political direction the USA is going, but that is all I will say about that.

Great Ukraine stamp, and the US flag stamp does a nice job of showing motion

I like the wheat fields on the Ukrainian stamp. Glad its only snowed on the mountain tops here although we do have grey skies in common.

I like that Ukraine stamp, it really looks like it's fabric. More movement to me than the US one. The US one... sorry, it just looks wrinkled! It's one I haven't seen.

The Ukrainian stamp is very nice, but with the selvedge it is raised 1,000%

If not for the selvedge, you wouldn't say it's the country flag!
