Sunday Stamps: Free choice

Good day and welcome to my contribution to Sunday Stamps.

Appropriate for this autumn day, I have a stamp issued by the US Postal service for Diwali, the Hindu holiday:

This stamp shows an oil wick lamp called a diya, lit by many Hindu people around the world.  Diwali is a festival celebrating light over darkness, and many other things.  You can read about it on the USPS website.

Visit SeeitonaPostcard for more entries!

I have a page on Facebook: keep up with my infrequent quilt and stamp posts at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Viridian61/347674418583948?ref=hl

Very nice. There has been so much about celebrating Diwali differently this year. It is never the same celebrating alone...

A lovely stamp, the simple image appropriate for how Diwali will be celebrated this year.
