Hello again after a week away. My conference was very busy, as I had anticipated. This morning I raked lots of leaves, and this early evening rain came down and knocked down so many leaves, it looked as if I hadn't done anything. Ah well, that is Fall!
Time for Sunday Stamps! I hope I have not lost you, with a week off!
Our theme this week is the Arctic or Antarctic. I am sharing a stamp from Latvia today.
This stamps shows an Emperor Penguin and a small chick. More information on this species can be found at the Wikipedia entry. Why they are on a Latvian stamp, I haven't a clue.
Please join me this week with a polar stamp - I do hope you have one.
Theme next week: Ships and boats of all sorts.
Theme two weeks from now: ???? Help me Sunday Stampers, I need some suggestions!

I would like to see the universities of the world on stamps for next week. :)
These stamps were probably for the Polar Year 2009.
I do think penguins are adorable ;)
how about maps as a theme?
Penguins are always cool (!) i like ships theme for next week i will try to participate...celebrities might be a good one too :)

a city . . .
I love that penguing! and the white/dark blue contrast!
oh my, themes...all the above mentioned ones are cool...I need to check out what I have in stock before suggesting something...but the ship theme is fine...hopefully Ill manage to post something :)
You can't shake us off so easily!
I was going to post those penguins too but I had a quick change of plan.
Fluffy baby penguins are adorable. Possibly landscapes or rivers and lakes as themes.
An unexpected country for a stamp like this. But definitely worth seeing.
So nice to see the cute chick! I didn't play yesterday for Sunday Stamps but hopefully by next week I'm back :)
It sure is difficult to find Arctic stamps, but I'm glad I found some just in time.
How about beautifully-shaped stamps for next week's edition? :)
Maybe stamps in a special colour? I suggest orange stamps!
Or "breakfast stamps"?
