Sunday Stamps #39

Still in the heart of Europe.
A fine example of art on stamps: A beautiful lady in a beautiful dress.  This stamp came on a Postcrossing card from Luxembourg, offically the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.  More on this Duchy is found at the Wikipedia entry

Next week: we travel to Mainland Asia.

I like the fact that the cancel didn't obscure the image.

I was wondering who she was when I spotted the artist's name, Luigi Rubio. "Young Lady with a Fan".

I like art on stamps, she gazes out to the viewer rather nicely.

If a painting is nice, then it's easy for a stamp with it to look nice, too. Unless the graphic designer is incompetent. :)
It's also easy for a nice, young lady to have a...fan. Or more.
Happy Sunday! :)

Sorry not to comment on everyone's entry - I was away at a professional meeting. I will visit now.
