Still in the heart of Europe.
A fine example of art on stamps: A beautiful lady in a beautiful dress. This stamp came on a Postcrossing card from Luxembourg, offically the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. More on this Duchy is found at the Wikipedia entry.
Next week: we travel to Mainland Asia.

I like the fact that the cancel didn't obscure the image.
She's beautiful
Lovely stamp!
I was wondering who she was when I spotted the artist's name, Luigi Rubio. "Young Lady with a Fan".
the lady with the fan...just lovely! plus i dont so often see stamps from Luxembourg so dont really have an insight what they have issued...thanks for sharing!
And happy Sunday! Hopefully yours is not as cold as here...
I like art on stamps, she gazes out to the viewer rather nicely.
Classic beauty!@ Like Joy, I also love art on stamps. I can't affort even a reproduction of some art pieces, art on stamps is the next best thing for me. I am joining with two entries again thsi week. Have a great Sunday!

If a painting is nice, then it's easy for a stamp with it to look nice, too. Unless the graphic designer is incompetent. :)
It's also easy for a nice, young lady to have a...fan. Or more.
Happy Sunday! :)
Sorry not to comment on everyone's entry - I was away at a professional meeting. I will visit now.
