Happy PFF: Manhattan bridges

Manhattan, back in the days when postcard views of buildings and bridges were the thing to send back home.  Here are the Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Williamsburg bridges over the East River.

School has started for me again and I am pretty busy, so just a short post today.  I'll be joining Bev for a special Pink Saturday tomorrow, so please come back and check that out.
Happy Postcard Friendship Friday!

That's a spectacular view. I wonder where the viewing point was.

Beautiful postcard. The style of these American postcards are always hafway between a drawing and a photo, unlike the postcards that were produced in Europe at the time (photos which had stencil colouring). I like the American style and wonder if the lines were drawn at the photo or is it an original drawing? Happy PFF.

I love pictures and postcards of bridges, they always have beautiful lines. I agree with Bob about American cards. They are very distinctive.

You just blogged about work.
Nice oldie postcard, but I prefer true colors...:)

I like the vantage point of this postcard and seeing how things have changed!

What did you study at UC? Sometimes, I really miss Hyde Park!

Beautiful card. It doesn't seem like you could actually see all three bridges from one vista anymore, but I'm not sure about that.

I was wondering about that too, if one can still see all three bridges from one vista. Lower Manhattan is so built up. Great card.
