Sunday Stamps II - 66

The theme this week at Sunday Stamps is the color (or colour) GREEN.

I looked through my old postings and came up with a green Christmas stamp.

It is from Belarus.  I hope you can see it also has silver embossing on it!

Enjoy the weekend,

Sunday Stamps II 64

Chiming in once again form the Midwest, it's my contribution to Sunday Stamps, hosted at See It on a Postcard.

The theme this week is women on stamps.  Inspired by our hostess, I am sharing a very similar stamp that I showed on my blog some time ago:

A wonderful stamp and surrounding material from Russia, showing, I believe, Catherine the Great.

See who else is joining in this week!

Sunday Stamps II - 59

All it well at chez Viridian, just busy and forgetful about my blog.
I am joining in again with Sunday Stamps, run by Violet Sky at SeeitonaPostcard.

The theme this week is Winter Scenes.

One of my favorite stamps, featured on my blog some years ago.  I feel it is very evocative of deep winter.

Please see who else is joining in at See it on a Postcard!

Sunday Stamps December 20

Welcome again to my blog. I'm sorry I've been so neglectful.
It's Christmas time and that means time for sharing Christmas stamps at Sunday Stamps, at See it on a Postcard blog.  My contribution is below.

This image is from the US Postal Service website.  They generally have a Madonna and Child stamp every year (this one from 2013).  Following a theme, it seems, the Christ Child is hardly a newborn here.  And He has a funny face - even a little creepy, maybe?  Note Mary is resting her head on her hand - she is probably very tired!

My contribution to this week's Sunday Stamps.
