Sunday Stamps: the letter "R"

Good day and welcome to my blog.  It is a cold blustery day in the American Midwest, and the snow predicted for this area did not really develop.

It's time for Sunday Stamps.

We are up to the letter "R" and I have some stamps of pottery, that I think are from the same series of stamps that SeeitonaPostcard showed.

On the left is some pottery from the Maramures (Marmatia) area of Romania.  On the right, pottery from Valcea area.  (I am sorry, I cannot reproduce the actual letters of the Romanian alphabet).

Both stamps are from 2007 and were shared years ago on this blog.

Sunday Stamps: the Letter "Q"

Good day, and welcome to my blog.  It is a sunny Sunday morning, and time for Sunday Stamps.

We are up to the letter "Q" and this is easy for me, as I am a quilter and I have collected Quilt stamps:

This is from a collection of stamps of Amish quilts.  The Amish use solid fabrics in subdued colors, traditional pieced patterns, and finish with wonderful quilting.  The quilts are considered pieces of American folk art.

Sunday Stamps: the Letter "P"

Good day, and welcome to my blog.

I am visiting relatives so I have to be quick today.  In our tour of the alphabet we are up to the letter P and I have some stamps from Portugal:

A still life with a guitar featured.

Sunday Stamps: the letter "O"

Good day, and welcome to my blog.  It is a cool cloudy day in the American Midwest, with the possibility of snow late tonight.

It's time for Sunday Stamps, and we are up to the letter "O".

I have an older owl stamp from Great Britain:

No cancellation that I can see.  It is removed from paper so it must be from the short period I was accumulating stamps (the influence of a long-ago boyfriend).

Sunday Stamps: the letter "N"

Good day, and welcome to my blog.  It is a cool cloudy day in the American Midwest. It is also, for Americans, the beginning of Daylight Savings Time.  We set our clocks back one hour, and feel disjointed for a few days.

It's time for Sunday Stamps, and we are up to the letter "N".  I have some stamps from the Netherlands:

I don't know what they are about, but they are pretty cool, and an unusual shape.
