Sunday Stamps: Women

Good day, and welcome to my blog.  It is a beautiful sunny day in May, and it's mother's day in the USA.

It's time for Sunday Stamps.  The theme this week is women.

Two recent stamps have been issued by the US Postal Service, or are about to be issued.

First, a recent stamp:

Betty White, actress, TV personality.  I know her from the shows The Mary Tyler Moore Show, and Golden Girls.

And a stamp to be issued June 10:

Barbara Bush, wife to President George H.W. Bush, and mother of President George H. Bush.

It's good to see women honored by stamps!

Be sure to visit SeeitonaPostcard for more entries.

I have a page on Facebook: keep up with my infrequent quilt and stamp posts at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Viridian61/347674418583948?ref=hl

Two nice ones! I remember Betty White as Sue Ann Nivens, I didn't watch The Golden Girls. I read about Barbara Bush's stamp.

Betty White always has such an impish look! And Barbara Bush's indomitable spirit shows in this stamp. It is a shame people have to die before getting such an honour.

The Golden Girls were also very popular in Spain, so I was happy to get this stamp. The second one is new to me.
