Good day and welcome. It's Sunday and time for Sunday Stamps. This week's theme is your choice.
I am sharing a stamp from the US Postal Service, of a corsage. It was issued to cover the two ounce rate for first class mail. Why two ounces? Well, heavy letters, especially wedding invitations, with the invite, and usually with a card and stamped envelope for the invitee to say whether they are attending or not.
This is cheaper than putting two first class stamps on the envelope. And it's a lovely image.Visit SeeitonaPostcard for more entries!
I have a page on Facebook: keep up with my infrequent quilt and stamp posts at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Viridian61/347674418583948?ref=hl

It is indeed pretty. And I wonder if anywhere else has stamps with the designated weight on it.
Nice to be able to send a pretty themed stamp with the wedding invitation. It reminds me of a vintage postcard illustration.
Great stamp and a cheaper solution too, just right for such an envelope.
