Today's theme for Sunday Stamps is father figures.
I decided to go literal for this: a USA stamp of Father Theodore Hesbergh, long time president of the University of Notre Dame in Indiana USA.

According to the USPS website, he was also a long time champion of civil rights and other societal issues. Please click on the link above to learn more.

I got this stamp on a letter, but I didn't thought of it for today's topic. Good point!
I thought of a priest, but with all the problems I wasn't sure I wouldn't sure I'd find one without some previously unrecorded sinister past. I'm glad you found one!
A great choice for the theme, and for the moment.
I would never have found a stamp like this.
