Sunday Stamps: the letter A

Good day, and welcome to my blog.  It is a cool sunny morning in the American Midwest, and time for Sunday Stamps.

SeeitonaPostcard is starting a series where we work our way through the Alphabet.  I hope the USPS has a variety of stamps.  And that I have a variety of stamps that I have shared before.

In any case, for the Letter A, the Appalachian Trail:

This is one of a set of 15 stamps, showing the natural beauty along the trail.  These are Forever stamps, always good for US first class postage (which is now 78 cents!).

The Appalachian Trail extends from northern Georgia to Maine, and is approximately 2200 miles or 3540 kilometers long, according to the Wikipedia entry.  I grew up in Massachusetts not far from a section of this trail.

Visit SeeitonaPostcard for more participants.

I have a page on Facebook: keep up with my infrequent quilt and stamp posts at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Viridian61/347674418583948?ref=hl
