Today I am sharing a Moomin stamp from Finland. It came to me on a recent Postcrossing card. I am not entirely sure of the appeal of these creatures, but they apparently have a wide international following.
Theme next week: Stamps with a story - of how they came to you, or your purchase of them, or of the correspondence that they sent to you. You'll see an example when I post next week.

Moomins seem to especially popular among Postcrossers.
ReplyDeleteFinland has really nice, cute stamps!
ReplyDeleteI love all the moomin characters. I got to know them when one of my Finnish colleague's young daughter was reading a Moomin book. The characters are so lovable and I often request swappers to send me any Moomin card or stamp whenever they can.

ReplyDeleteI like Moomins too, I saw some movies as a child. Nice to remember :)
ReplyDeleteI guess Moomins are a symbol of cuteness. :)
ReplyDeleteThe Moomins were on TV when my sons were little but I never found them as appealing as other programs. They are incredibly popular though.
